同賞は、私達の生活の質の向上、人間の潜在能力の拡大、シンガポールの市場競争力の強化に貢献する、優れたデザインに光をあてることを目的に、2005年に設立されました。
初年度は、「Designers of the Year」部門で2名、「Designs of the Year」部門で7件が受賞しました。
