同賞は、ヨーロッパにおける優れたグラフィック・デザイン、イラストレーション、マルチメディア・デザインを対象としています。ヨーロッパ内で知名度の高い12のコミュニケーション・デザイン雑誌のコラボレーションを基盤として、同誌の代表者が審査団を構成します。
2回目となる2008年は、スウェーデンのストックホルムで授賞式が行われました。授賞式は、380人のデザイン関係者が集まるイベントのメインイベントの一つとして行われました。
