同賞は、ヨーロッパにおける優れたグラフィック・デザイン、イラストレーション、マルチメディア・デザインを対象としています。ヨーロッパ内で知名度の高い12のコミュニケーション・デザイン雑誌のコラボレーションを基盤として、同誌の代表者が審査団を構成します。
開催初年度となる2007年は、5月にギリシャのアテネで授賞式が行われました。授賞式に先んじて、デザイン会議、ワークショップ、エキシビションが3日間に渡り開催されています。来年度はスウェーデンのストックフォルムで開催される予定です。
