同賞は、ヨーロッパにおける優れたグラフィック・デザイン、イラストレーション、マルチメディア・デザインを対象としています。ヨーロッパ内で知名度の高い12のコミュニケーション・デザイン雑誌のコラボレーションを基盤として、同誌の代表者が審査団を構成します。
3回目となる2009年は、ドイツのスタジオの作品が最多の7点のゴールドを受賞、次いでオランダの6点、スペインの3点となりました。授賞式は、"EuropeanDesign Festival" メインイベントの一つとして行われました。
ここでは、ゴールドを受賞した27点をご紹介します。
