「ZGRAF 9」はグラフィックデザインとビジュアルコミュニケーションの国際展示会。1975年の設立以来、クロアチアで3年に1度開催されています。
現代社会におけるデザインの基礎的問題について考えることを目的に、「ZGRAF 1」では職業としてのデザインの重要性に、「ZGRAF 3」ではグラフィックデザインとアートの関係に焦点をあて、「ZGRAF 5」では教育の重要性を取りあげてデザインコースの設定を支持。そして「ZGRAF 8」では、ウェブデザインやマルチメディア等のデザインの分野においてデジタル技術がどう普及してくのか、その可能性を探ってきました。
また、質の高いグラフィックデザインを世界的に広めると同時に、国内における、デザインに対する認識の向上も図っています。
なお、現在は組織と賞システムの再構築中です。
今年の応募総数は20カ国から366点。結果、受賞作品に17点が決定しました。最高賞の「ZGRAF 9 GRAND PRIX」にはStefan Sagmeister の作品が選ばれています。
