毎回40カ国以上から参加がある世界最大のデザイン・コンテストのひとつ「レッドドットデザイン賞」。今回は2部門のうち、コミュニケーションデザインの受賞作品についてご紹介します。
コミュニケーションデザインは1993年設立のGerman Prize for Communications Designを引き継いで2000年より開催された部門で、コミュニケーション全般を対象とします。
今年のコミュニケーションデザインはウェブサイトやCD-ROM、コンピュータグラフィックやアニメーション等を対象とした「デジタルメディア」部門が新設され、10カテゴリーで198点が受賞。そのうち「ベスト・オブ・ベスト」に31点が選出されました。さらにその中から優れたデザインに贈られる大賞（賞金10,000ユーロ）と学生対象のジュニア賞（賞金2,500ユーロ）は、2004年12月3日の授賞式で発表予定です。また、受賞作品はエッセンのレッドドットミュージアムで、2004年12月4日～2005年1月9日に開催される特別展示会で展示されます。
ここでは、2003年度「ベスト・オブ・ベスト」のタイトルが贈られた24点（大賞・ジュニア賞を含む）の作品がご覧になれます。
※2004年度受賞作品については、12月の大賞発表後、掲載予定です。

|
1 ．企業のウェブサイトが、インターネットゲームの影響を受け、情報半分あそび半分のスタイルをとる傾向あり。
コーポレートコミュニケーションの形に変化が見られる。
2 ．マス広告のメディアとしてのポスターの威力が低下。
東ヨーロッパでは依然ポスター隆盛なるも、昨年から、応募作品の質量とも下降気味。
