香港デザイナー協会（Hong Kong Designers Association）が主催する同賞は、1975年、香港で「First Picture Show」としてスタートしました。96年から募集対象をアジア太平洋地域の国々に拡大。現在は「HKDA Awards」と改名し、アジア太平洋地域の権威あるデザイン賞として隔年で開催されています。
30周年を迎えた2005年は、アジア太平洋の40都市から2,770点のエントリーがあり、700点以上の受賞が決定しました。その中から個人審査員賞、審査員特別賞を含むGold Awardに14点が選出。日本からは南部俊安さんのグラフィック作品「Assorted Promotional Items : Proto Type Font」が選ばれました。
ここでは、Gold Awardを受賞した14点の作品をご紹介します。
